You did it! Just like that, we’re ending another semester, and if you haven’t heard it today, I’m proud of you. It takes a whole lot of courage to finish assignments and get A’s on exams we don’t want to take, but as we close the semester, here are a few ways to conquer our last days of school.

Get Some Fresh Air

At this point, I’m sure your body is not only begging for movement but also longing to remember what the sun feels like. The weather has been beautiful lately, and you don’t want to miss out on it because you’re hunched over a desk for hours every day. Give yourself a break and take time to move around outside and take in the breeze. Your body and mind will thank you.

Treat Yourself

There’s no better feeling than getting something done and having something to look forward to. To get myself to take one of my exams, I used ice cream as an incentive, and it worked. Not only did I get an A, but it was nice to have a treat to look forward to as I took my final. It may seem silly, but sometimes the smallest things like treating yourself to ice cream are the ones that will benefit you the most in the long run.

Relax

At some point or another, or even now, I’m sure school has been a hard and exhausting struggle. Remember to take a breath and take it easy. While school is important, your mental health and well-being matter just as much. Some of my favorite ways to relax are going on drives, watching an episode of my favorite show, or taking a shower. It’s important to take time off when you need to; you deserve it.

Fuel Your Body

With everything going on and being stressed, I will admit that I’m guilty of literally forgetting to eat—and then not realizing why I feel horrible. It’s crucial to fuel your body with good and healthy food, especially to help make up for the current excess of coffee in your body (if you’re like me). Also, make sure you’re drinking water—I’m also guilty of being dehydrated and you’ll feel so much better if you keep up with your health.

Cheers!

The end of the semester is the perfect time to shamelessly pop open a bottle of your favorite wine or champagne or sip on seltzer to wind down. You can even celebrate with your favorite Starbucks drink! You deserve to celebrate without judgment. You’ve made it this far and should be proud of yourself!

By taking these things into consideration, the rest of the semester won’t be as hard as we make it out to be, and if things don’t end perfectly, it won’t be the end of the world. No matter what the outcome, be proud of yourself and your achievements; you got this!
