Crimson Tide Celebrates 16th National Championship

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Alabama chapter.

The Crimson Tide Football team’s National Championship win over Clemson on January 11th called for even more celebration two weeks later this past weekend with a parade. The parade took place on campus from Denny Chimes to Bryant-Denny Stadium where many Alabama students and fans braved the cold weather to join the team in celebration. Coach Nick Saban and the team have much to celebrate along with the big national championship win. Heisman Trophy winner Derrick Henry, a Cotton Bowl Playoff win, and another SEC championship are just a few of the many to name. Even though we are used to winning down here in Titletown, it is still such a great feeling of pride, tradition, and success to end the season with a National Championship win. It doesn’t matter how much ESPN or CBS secretly (actually openly) don’t want us to win or anyone else who just hates the Tide, we will say Roll Tide forever.
