Energy Drinks To Get You Through Finals

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Akron chapter.

All nighters, headaches, lost pencils, and 7:45 am exams. It’s that time of the year again and the reality that is finals week has officially sunk into the minds of college students. To the students who finished their semester already, congratulations. To the rest of us, I’m sorry. Just take a deep breathe, and it will be okay (or will it?). I’m joking, it will!

You are all probably wondering, “How in the world am I going to survive this week?” Well, I’ve got your back. There are plenty of ways to stay awake all week. Getting enough sleep and eating right, are one example, but if you have exhausted all opportunities for sleep and eating, try an energy drink. Maybe it isn’t the healthiest option, but it’s finals week, and finals week isn’t healthy either.

Here are three tasty energy drink options:

1. Red Bull

The drink that “gives you wings” is my personal favorite and the best tasting of them all. Red Bull targets young students and adventurers, promising that their drink will energize them to take on anything the day throws at them. They use an inspiring message, many flavors, and a small compact can to successfully sell their drink. Try Red Bull and ace that Friday morning exam!

2. 5-Hour Energy

If you need a short burst of energy and have time for a mid-finals-week nap after, try 5-Hour Energy. Five hours of energy claim to be packed in the tiny two-ounce bottle. 5-Hour Energy says that their five hour energy shot has as much caffeine as a cup of the leading premium coffee. If you’re running late and you find that you don’t have enough time for a whole cup of coffee, grab a 5-Hour Energy.

3. Monster

The third and final drink on this list is Monster. When I was younger, I was terrified of this drink. I thought that is was super bad for you, which maybe is true, but now that I’m all grown up and in college, I don’t care so much. The “college me” is all about sugary and heavily caffeinated beverages. Monster is my second favorite energy drink and has certainly helped me maintain my GPA.

So there you have it, grab your textbook and energy drink, and conquer your week!

Hang in there, this week can’t last forever.
