Social experiment videos – they seem to be all over the place in recent times, drawing controversy and dropping jaws. We all know that there are social experiments going on all the time. Some are funny, some are harsh, and others are tearjerkers. But a lot of the time, we will watch these videos, think about them for all of five minutes, and then move on to the next funny video. But recently, this video caught my eye, and I decided I just had to tell other collegiettes about it.

The reason this video caught my eye was because it was unexpected. When you first watch the video, you think you know exactly what is going to happen. You expect that people are going to give money to the “homeless single father” and not the homeless man looking to buy drugs and alcohol with donations. But, much to the viewers’ dismay, the opposite happens. People find the latter funny, and the former upsetting, or even worse – they think he’s lying, or exploiting the little girl for money.
This all changes when one kind woman comes and donates every dollar she made today to the “homeless single father”, and even says a prayer for him and his daughter. When I mentioned tearjerkers before, this was definitely what I was talking about. This is the kind of video that makes you want to go out and help someone.
