Q: What’s your year and major?
A: I am a junior Psychology major with a marketing minor.
Q: What activities are you involved in school and outside school?
A: At school, I am involved with self-defense classes taught by Liz Toro on some Tuesday nights. Outside of school, I co-own a babysitting business that myself and Liz Toro started about 2 years ago. I also volunteer some of my time at my old girl scout troop.
Q: What are your hobbies?
A: During my free time, I like to dance but I am also very interested in hairstyling and makeup. I plan on starting my own side business in the future.
Q: What are your favorite foods?
A: I’m Puerto Rican so obviously my favorite are hispanic foods but I also love italian food!!
Q: What is L&A Babysitting?
A: L&A Babysitting was established by Liz Toro and Alyssa Molina. Each sitter on our team is a valuable and is a carefully selected asset to our team. Each sitter has years of experience and engages with the children they work with. Each family has a total of 3 sitters from our team. One of the sitters you meet will be the primary sitter. The other two will be backup sitters in the case of an emergency or last minute call. The family is almost never inconvenienced. Very simple but creative system!! We charge $12-20 an hour, it depends on how many children and the children’s ages. We love our jobs and we hope to help out more families searching for a babysitter.
Q: What is it like to own a business at 20 years old?
A: It’s honestly a lot of work because we’re always busy. But I love it because I get to run it with my best friend. We currently have 10 sitters on our team and have over 40 families. I’m proud of what we have accomplished, we came a long way.
Q: What do you wish to do when you graduate? (What are your goals)
A: When I graduate, I plan to achieve my masters in school counseling and become a guidance couselor. I also plan to attend beauty school and start my own side business afterwards.
Q: Do you have any role models?
A: I would have to say that my role model is my mother. Typical i know.. but she gave up so much to give me a life better than hers and I owe her so much for it. I only hope to be half the person she is.
Q: What do you look for in a partner?
A: What I look for in a person is someone who is honest and truthful. Liars really turn me off. But they should also have a sense of humor because I am probably the most unserious person.
Q: What would be the perfect date?
A: The perfect date for me is anywhere in the city. There’s always something new to discover. Food should be involved too.

Fun Fact: Alyssa owns a pocket beagle named Noel. Noel was her Christmas present last year and Alyssa received her on Christmas Eve. Also, Christmas is Alyssa’s favorite holiday. So no wonder why she named her pup Noel!!
