The Best Social Media Responses from the Second Presidential Debate

No matter the issues discussed or who comes out as winner or loser, this year’s presidential debates are becoming a gold mine for the internet community. From the outcry for an out-of-work Big Bird to the pity for moderator Jim Lehrer, the response through memes seems to have become an integral part of this election. Below, scroll through for a few of our favorite memes from the second presidential debate.

The tension in the town-hall debate on Tuesday was palpable. With the candidates free to roam about the floor, it seemed that at any moment Barack and Mitt would come to blows.

Now that we all now know that Mitt Romney has binders full of women, the Tumblr Binders Full of Women has corralled related to Mitt’s favorite kind of office supply. Lucky for us, Beyonce has her own take on things.

And for those of you who may have found all the political talk lacking in excitement, the YouTube community has taken the key points of the night and put them into a son. It’s amazing what a little bit of autotune can do to make sparring candidates more like the lead singers of a Motown band.

What were some of your favorite internet election responses?
