How to Throw the Ultimate Friendsgiving With Your Bumble BFFs

This is a sponsored feature. All opinions are 100% from Her Campus.

Whether you can’t make it home for the holidays or just want to spend extra time with your best friends, Friendsgiving is simply the best. A spread of delicious food on a table surrounded by your closest friends? Sign me up. Bumble BFF also understands the importance of meaningful friendships, which is why the app is making it easier than ever to find friends and build a supportive community around you.

If you’re not sure where to start with your Friendsgiving planning, allow me to help. These are my four best tips for throwing the ultimate gathering with your Bumble BFFs.

Have everyone bring a special dish.

Pro tip: Spend less time stressing over food preparation during the party and more time having fun with your friends. Ahead of time, make your mom’s homemade apple pie so you can enjoy a slice of home with your besties. Or, bring your favorite dish for everyone to try, like Shelly, a Bumble BFF user did.

“I moved to a new city and went on Bumble BFF to look for friends. I met two friends and we all just kept on meeting and bringing more people, some from Bumble BFF. We ended up forming a group on Facebook, which grew to more than 30 people! One of my favorite memories is when we had a big group potluck before Thanksgiving last year,” Shelly said. “There were more than 30 people at one person’s house and everyone brought their favorite dish.”

Create a DIY Instagram photobooth.

Create a DIY photobooth filled with props so you and your BFFs can take all those grid-worthy photos for Instagram. You can even create a fun hashtag so you’ll be able to share your photos with each other.

Make a “thankful for my BFFs” compliment jar.

Like Thanksgiving, Friendsgiving is about giving thanks for the special people in our lives. Have everyone decorate their own compliment jar, then go around and drop in little slips of paper with compliments and messages of gratitude. Your friends will have a sweet reminder of how much they’re loved to take home with them.

Host a food drive at your Friendsgiving.

In the spirit of giving, organize a canned food drive so you and your friends can give back to your community. Have everyone bring a canned food item or two (or three!) and collect them in a box that you can later donate to a local food shelter.

Beginning today through the end of the month, Bumble will donate to support FEED’s mission to provide school meals to children in need for every match made in Bumble Date, Bumble BFF, or Bumble Bizz.
