Get Up, Babe, We’re Going On A Wine Walk

I’m in disbelief. How is it already the end of the school year? As the last day of class approaches, I think we could all use some last-minute friend group bonding time. Now is the time to get in as many fun activities with friends as you can, and with finals week just around the corner, it can be hard to balance a social life with schoolwork. If you’re struggling with studying as much as I am, a good wine walk may be the study break that you needed.

So get excited besties, it’s officially Wine Walk Wednesday.

TikTok’s wine walk trend has completely taken over my FYP, and I’ve never seen something so college. Hot girl walks have now been elevated.

The TikTok #winewalk has already amassed 5.5 million views and counting, and users are absolutely loving it.

The trend’s top video was posted a few days ago by TikTok user @queeenkenzzzz and has received 5.9 million views and 797K likes. Consider me influenced.

A wine walk is pretty self-explanatory. 21+ Users have been gathering their friend groups to take an evening walk with tumblers of wine. The Stanley girlies were onto something – their cups will definitely be coming in handy for this.

If you’re not super into wine, don’t worry – wine walks are a state of mind. You can take your walk with anything from seltzers to mocktails, or even energy drinks (patiently waiting to get my hands on Alex Earle’s new collab). There’s room for all the beverage girlies on wine walks, even those of us who are stuck on WaterTok!

TikTok users have also been taking the typical wine walk and putting a fun spin on it.

One TikTok user @re_333 used a tumbler with a built-in food compartment. Along with their wine concoction, they packed carrot cake, popcorn, chips, and a donut to snack on with friends. This is my kind of walk. It’s always a good idea to have food along with alcohol – they’re doing it right!

“The slice of carrot cake is absolutely unhinged and I’m here for it,” says one comment with 28.6K likes.

“I’m all for wine walk culture,” says another.

It’s not just college students who are hopping on the trend. The moms of TikTok have also started participating. TikTok “momfluencer” Avery Woods (@averyywoods) shared her evening wine walk, pushing her kids in a stroller before she puts them to bed.

Now that it’s starting to get warmer and we have so many more hours of sunlight, this is the perfect evening activity for friends. I wish this trend had come up earlier in the school year! Grab your tumbler and go romanticize your college town.
