Here’s How To Score Discounted Rides During Coachella This Year

Music festival season is here and Coachella is kicking it off on April 14. Prepare for your socials to be flooded with concert video after concert video and endless fit checks from influencers. (And who could forget the queen of Coachella, Vanessa Hudgens?)

If you’re lucky enough to be one of the music lovers who won’t be watching the stages from your couch, then toss your water bottle and portable charger into your bag and get ready for this weekend! But before you get too excited, we need to talk about the worst part of the festival: the end.

Drinking at a music festival for the 21+ crowd is super common. And no one can blame you for wanting a fun drink to accompany you. But when it’s time to get back to the Airbnb, who wants to DD? Not me and probably not you. A ride-share DD is the solution. I’ve got you — here are Uber and Lyft deals and codes to get discounted rides during Coachella 2023 back to your place.

Uber

Uber makes it easy. They have deals on deals and for April, the company is promoting their environmentally-friendly ride-share options: bikes and scooters! Slash the cost of your ride home in half and get a short workout in with these Lime e-vehicles. Granted, if you’re tipsy, this might not be the best option, but don’t worry, there’s more. Uber’s eco-friendly press release included these two deals:

  • Uber Comfort Electric: You can request a ride in an EV like a Tesla or a Ford Mustang Mach-E. And from April 11 to 30, you can get up to 25% (up to $10) off two Comfort Electric trips with the code GOELECTRIC.
  • Go with Uber Green: Uber Green, the rideshare option for low/no-emission rides, costs the same as UberX, but has fewer emissions. Uber Green trips are completed in hybrid and electric vehicles.

All of these deals run through Coachella (April 14 to 23) and, of course, coincide with Earth Day.

Lyft

Lyft is giving Uber some competition this year. If you manage to sign up for Lyft Pink and remember to cancel after one month you can get all of this for just $9.99:

  • Free Priority Pickup upgrades

You’ll get picked up faster, not to mention you can save $3 to $4 per ride on average.

  • Exclusive savings

5% off on Lux, XL, and Preferred rides? Sign me up!

  • Cancellation forgiveness

You can cancel up to three times a month for free.

  • Free Grubhub+ for a year

That’s with $0 restaurant delivery fees.

Signing up for that one weekend in Cali when you might need a ride home from each day of the fest ain’t a bad idea. Just remember to cancel the membership when you’re back home and suffering from PCD (post-Coachella depression).

Go all out and get home safe. Can’t wait to see your Coachella photo dump, bestie!
