YASSS, Denise Richards is Joining 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills'

Denise Richards confirmed the rumor that's been circulating the Bravo fanbase for months: she's joining The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills! The actress will star in the show's upcoming ninth season.

"I am so excited to join the cast of [RHOBH] as I am a huge fan of the show," Richards told PEOPLE, who first reported the news.

All of season eight's cast — Kyle Richards, Lisa Vanderpump, Lisa Rinna, Erika Girardi, Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave and Dorit Kemsley — are expected to join her.

"I am looking forward to spending time with all the ladies... and hopefully meeting Boy George!!" Richards said, noting the '80s star who happens to also be Kemsley's friend.

According to PEOPLE, Richards is already friends with Kyle and Lisa Rinna. She's even wanted to join the show before, but "the timing was never right," a source told the magazine. Why now? The producers "needed to shake the dynamic of the show up after a season without much conflict."

A.K.A. a snorefest of a season. Luckily, Richards is "not afraid of the drama," the source added. "And she lives a glamorous, Hollywood life — which the show lives for."

Plus, Richards has (very briefly) been on the show before. She made a cameo during season five. Richards also had her own reality show, Denise RIchards: It's Complicated, before it ended in 2009.

Richards has three daughters, two of which are from her since-ended marriage to Charlie Sheen.

RHOBH season 9 is set to premiere later this year.
