‘Veronica Mars’ Revival Is Officially Coming to Hulu in 2019, Along With the Original Series

Remember when Veronica Mars was a potential reboot for Hulu, but we had no real answers? Well, now we know the truth: Hulu is picking up the series, set to premiere in 2019!

The new season will feature eight new episodes with Kristen Bell, who is Veronica Mars, naturally. Rob Thomas, the show’s creator is currently starting to write the first episode but don’t worry, we already have a summary for the revival: “Spring breakers are getting murdered in Neptune, thereby decimating the seaside town’s lifeblood tourist industry. After Mars Investigations is hired by the parents of one of the victims to find their son’s killer, Veronica is drawn into an epic eight-episode mystery that pits the enclave’s wealthy elites, who would rather put an end to the month-long bacchanalia, against a working class that relies on the cash influx that comes with being the West Coast’s answer to Daytona Beach.”

I don’t know about you, but I’m stoked.

Veronica Mars herself seems to be stoked too, as she posted an Instagram video announcing the show’s revival.

To make the news more exciting, Hulu got SVOD rights to the original episodes and the 2014 film through an agreement with Warner Bros. These will be available to stream next summer, so in other words, we have plenty of time to re-watch the original show and gear up for the new season.

Hurry, 2019.
