These Zodiac Signs Are Most Likely To Join A Protest

Do you hear the people sing? Today, we’re talking about the zodiac signs most likely to join a protest. In Signs Of The Times, Her Campus gets all of the dirty details about the signs directly from astrologers. Today, Taryn Leigh Bond, a Tropical Astrologer who offers readings and teaches people how to read birth charts, shares which three signs would find themselves taking action in the face of injustice.

It’s not a new thing to say we’re living in turbulent times. Between the overturning of Roe V. Wade, ongoing debates about marriage equality, and the presence of racial injustice, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and small when faced with these issues. I know I’m not alone in wondering as I watch and read the news, “how can I make a difference when I’m only one person?”

As a member of (*cough* elder *cough*) Gen Z, protesting has always been a part of my life. Whether we’re printing out posters, posting on Instagram, or taking it to the streets, I take pride in the fact that my generation is determined to make a change in the world.

While everyone can protest (peacefully, ofc) however way they’d like, there are types of people who are ready to hit the streets and make their voices heard. So, the next time you head to a protest, don’t be surprised if you see these three zodiac signs leading the way (you go, bestie!):

Aries:

Are we surprised? Aries is the first of the zodiac signs, meaning they possess many leadership qualities along with a drive to make real change.

“Co-ruled by Mars with Scorpio, Aries is the hero of the zodiac,” Astrologer Taryn Bond tells Her Campus. “They are the ones that dream of swooping in, fighting a battle, and saving someone or something beloved to them. If they see injustice, especially based on power inequality, Aries will take it upon themselves to set things straight.”

Scorpio:

Water signs are known for being sensitive and empathetic people. So, this makes them want to join the fight—especially when other people’s livelihoods are at stake.

According to Bond, “Ruled by Mars—the planet of war—and Pluto—the planet of regeneration and deeper truth—, Scorpio will ‘go to the mat’ for a cause they care about. They are extremely compassionate, and that comes out through fearlessly leaning into conflict, when necessary. Scorpio will always fight for the underdog!”

Aquarius:

Finally, don’t leave the intellectual and individual Aquarius out of the conversation! Being an air sign, Aquarius is all about communication, change, and new ideas.

“As the sign of humanitarianism, progressive movements, and global equality, Aquarius is the master of understanding existing systems of hierarchy and power and possessing the fearlessness to go in and break them,” Bond says. “Aquarius values individuality so much that they really don’t need you to like them or agree with them; the vision will always be more important.”

When she's not writing burning hot takes and writing about her personal life for the masses (sorry, mom), you can find Julianna cooking, going out with the girls, doing yoga the morning after going out with the girls, watching reality television with her fiancé, playing chess, or advocating for the food scene in Pittsburgh, PA. It really is that good, BTW.
