Support Our Troops: “Valentine’s For Vets”

Whether you’re a Democrat or Republican, we can all agree that the troops deserve our support. So, this Valentine’s Day, Generation Opportunity has madeit easy to send your love and gratification to those who have served our country in their “Valentine’s for Vets” initiative.

On the non-profit organization’s website they’ve created a template where anyone can write a Valentine’s Day message to a U.S. veteran. During the week of Feb. 14, Generation Opportunity will deliver each of the notes to a veteran to “reinforce the great amount of support and gratitude our servicemen and servicewomen so greatly deserve,” according to their website.

While you can’t write notes for particular veterans, get in the Valentine’s Day spirit by spending a couple minutes appreciating someone. He or she has likely dedicated years to fight for our freedom.

By sending a note, you’ll also be assisting Generation Opportunity in their mission to organize young people to “create a better tomorrow,” according to their Feb. 8 press release. As collegiettes, what could be better?
