Here’s What Sophia La Corte Said About The Halley Drama On Her New Podcast

I’m the pop culture guru of my friend group, and I wouldn’t like to have it any other way. So, when I saw that Sophia La Corte released a podcast episode with Brad Mondo on Jan. 25 talking about the drama between her and fellow TikToker Halley Kate, it was my duty as the designated pop-culture news source to listen to it.

Sophia and Brad released the episode on their YouTube channel “Out Of Touch Podcast,” in an episode titled, “What Does It Really Mean To Be A Girl’s Girl?” In the episode, they talked about what they think it means to be a “girl’s girl,” and of course, the drama between Sophia and Halley. And y’all, I do not like this.

If you have no idea what drama I’m talking about, allow me to fill you in a bit. Halley and Sophia are both NYC-based TikTok influencers who often post beauty, fashion, and lifestyle content. Despite not being in the same close friend group, their paths would cross often at work-related events, dinners, and more. All of this turned sour on Dec. 2, 2023, after a Reddit page accused Sophia of going on a date with Halley’s recent ex-boyfriend, Reed Williams. Yikes.

Halley and Reed dated for about nine months, and broke up in early November. Even though Halley said there was no bad blood between them, that wasn’t necessarily the truth. She  was just protecting his reputation and decided  not speak about the negative sides of their relationship, which was very mature of her. After hearing about Sophia and Reed, Halley posted a TikTok to Taylor Swift’s “Karma.”

The biggest “ick” about this whole thing is that Sophia and Reed allegedly went out just days after Sophia and Halley hung out at an influencer event. Halley has said that she considered Sophia a friend, but it doesn’t seem like Sophia felt the same way about her. And we’re just finding out now.

Sophia and Brad started the podcast by talking about what it means to be a girl’s girl, and TBH, I don’t know how to feel. Sophia said that she considers herself a girl’s girl and that she “knows [she is]” because “I would never stab one of my friends in the back. I would never drag a woman online, and I would never talk poorly about another woman. I defend other women.”

They continue to talk about the subject and other things, but eventually got to the main event: the drama between Sophia and Halley. Brad said “[Halley] claims that you’re not a girl’s girl … I felt like her making videos about you not being a girl’s girl made her not a girl’s girl because she was bashing another girl.” Sophia responded by saying that Halley “called me the B-word, flipped me off on the camera, had her and all her friends, called me all this stuff, made ten videos and a podcast, making up these little details that just never happened.”

The biggest thing about all of this is that Sophia claimed she “[doesn’t] know who this girl is” and“was never friends with her.” While Halley has not yet responded to the podcast, it seems like Sophia shared some new details that may or may not be true.

The rest of the podcast mostly consisted of Brad and Sophia laughing at hate comments and sharing their thoughts on what  it means to be a girl’s girl. I don’t know what to believe anymore, but I do know that I’m always going to be team Halley.
