Rainy Days = No Motivation

Hey Collegiettes™!

It’s hard to believe that I am half way through my journey to lose the freshman 15 using SELF’s Jump Start Diet! It has not been easy by any means, and I have had my slip ups, but this has been the best thing for me. I have more energy, I’m eating healthier, and I crave exercise.

I may crave exercising, but when it is raining, all I want to do is stay in bed and do absolutely nothing. So, this morning when my alarm clock went off at 6:30 a.m. sharp and I heard the pounding of the rain outside, I said NO to the gym. I had no desire to get dressed, walk to my car in the pouring rain, drive to the gym, and then again walk to the gym.  Needless to say, I didn’t go to the gym and haven’t done any physical activity today.

I had, not have, no motivation to workout. As I’m writing this blog, I am reminded that I’m not only doing this for myself, but also for my readers. I need to continue to be their motivation. I now want to go do something physical that will contribute to the new and healthy, exercise fanatic me.

It is still raining outside so I will not be leaving my house, instead I will again attempt Jillian Michael’s tone-all-over yoga poses.  I have tried them in the past and they are hard, so wish me luck!
