New Tinder Feature Helps You Find Your Perfect Presidential Match

Everyone’s favorite hook-up app, Tinder, introduced a clever tool for rallying young voters Wednesday.

The new feature, called Swipe the Vote, helps users discover their true political leanings by prompting them with 10 questions about current issues, such as whether or not you would abolish the death penalty—You can swipe left for no or right for yes, and at the end discover your ideal presidential candidate.

Don’t think you’ll have to swipe blindly on issues when you haven’t done all your research. Tinder’s made it super easy to determine your stance on things like military spending and repealing Obamacare by providing information about its history in the U.S. at the bottom of each prompt.

Once you’ve completed the survey, Tinder matches you with the candidate that most closely aligns with your political beliefs, and provides a link for you to register to vote.

To use the new feature, open Tinder and swipe until you reach the advertisement for Swipe The Vote that looks like this:

The project is a partnership between Tinder and Rock the Vote, but Tinder CEO Sean Rad told Buzzfeed News that the inspiration came directly from their users, who were using the app to promote their favorite candidates.
