‘Tis the season to indulge in some rather cheesy — but still warm and fuzzy — Christmas movies. From the corny romances to the adorable magic of Christmas stories, I can’t pass up Christmas movies and their predictable plotlines. When the picturesque towns strung with Christmas lights and too-perfect snow hits my screen, my holiday spirit is activated. Though some might argue it’s too early to deck the halls or blast the Ariana Grande Christmas songs (aka the best holiday songs, IMO), it’s never too early to treat yourself to a feel-good movie.

So grab your peppermint mocha latte and some gingerbread cookies — it’s time to get into the holiday spirit with these new Christmas movies to watch in 2022 that are coming to your favorite streaming platforms

Netflix

Falling For Christmas (Nov. 10)

The much-anticipated Falling For Christmas is finally here. In her first starring role since 2013, Lindsay Lohan takes on the character of Sierra, a newly engaged heiress who gets in a skiing accident just days before the big holiday. Following the accident, Sierra is diagnosed with amnesia and is under the care of a cabin owner — who just so happens to be handsome and charming — and his daughter. Glee fans might want to tune in to this new movie because Jake, the cabin owner, is played by the show’s very own Chord Overstreet. This rom-com is the quintessential Christmas movie: heartwarming, festive, and filled with hope and love.

Christmas With You (Nov. 17)

While he’s cleaning out his childhood home following the news, he runs into a young woman searching for her birth mother, who she believes was a nanny for the Turner family. In the search for the truth, a diary seems to have all the answers they are looking for. The Noel Diary reveals a heartwarming tale of family, and of course, a budding romance.
