Although some of Hollywood may have forgotten Chris Brown’s violent past, Miranda Lambert hasn’t. And is determined to make sure others take notice.
It began with a tweet the country music star sent Monday, saying “And Chris Brown Twice? I don’t get it. He beat on a girl…Not cool that we act like that didn’t happen”. Lambert is referring to the infamous 2009 incident where Brown pleaded guilty for assaulting ex-girlfriend Rihanna and is currently serving five years of probation.
Then, at a show last Thursday at the University of Massachusetts she brought out a green poster reading “Take Notes Chris Brown.” She revealed the poster right before she sang “Gunpowder and Lead,” a song about an abused woman who gets revenge on her spouse once he’s released from jail.
Brown is well known for his crazy Twitter rants, and blames the media for all his negative publicity. “DEAR MEDIA.. Ur plan is not working…I’m not going anywhere so get used to me”.
