Losing the Freshman 15: Home Sweet Home

 

Today was going-home day for me! Spring break’s not for another week but since I’m going away, I wanted to go home for just a bit to get my fix before embarking on another hard-and-fast Northwestern quarter. I had a long day of travel and had no opportunity for gym-ing, but I’m still feeling the effects of two solid hours of dancing at my sorority formal last night. I even left my heels on the whole night—I’m so impressed with myself (low standards? Nah).

 

I am so excited to be home for a lot of reasons. My bed, the water (the landlocked Midwest gets to me), old friends, all of that… but also to be able to cook some of SELF’s Jump Start diet recipes! What to make? Not sure yet, but I’ll be keeping you updated! My mom is following the plan too so I’m sure we’ll be fixing some of them in the next few days.

 

It’s already off to a good start (besides opening the freezer and finding 4 boxes of my favorite Girl Scout cookies)—my mom made the Truvia brownies I mentioned the other day and stocked up on all the best fruit.

Workout #1 tomorrow, perhaps?
