Lose the Freshman 15 : You’re Beautiful, It’s True

Getting to the gym on the weekends is rough.

It’s a major struggle for me to get out of bed early on the weekends, especially since Saturday and Sunday are the only days when I don’t technically have to get up before noon. Still, only following the Self Jumpstart Diet only five days a week isn’t going to help me shed the extra college pounds I’ve put on. Thankfully, I can set my alarm to play a song off of my “Love your Body Cardio Playlist ” which helps get my out from under the covers and into my sports bra.

Since I know that sticking to your exercise and workout routines can be tough on the weekends I thought I’d share my “Love your Body Cardio Playlist” so that you too can get a little extra boost. These songs not only get
me up and out of bed, they also keep motivated during those long hauls on the elliptical that, while being ever so helpful in my full body transformation, can be pretty grueling. At 43 minutes and 2 seconds it carries me almost all the way through Jillian Michael’s Calorie-Burning Cardio Plan. As an added plus, they’re all major self-esteem boosters, which doubles the great feeling I get after a workout. Without further ado, here’s my “Love your Body Cardio Playlist”

1. Pretty Girl Rock (Cahill Club Remix) – Kerri Hilson

2. So What – Pink

3. She’s So High – Tal Bachman

4. When I Grow Up – Mayday Parade Cover

5. Gives You Hell – All American Rejects

6. Boys, Boys, Boys, – Lady Gaga

7. Special K – Placebo

8. We R Who We R – Ke$ha

9. Cherry Lips (Go Baby Go!) – Garbage

10. Survivor – Destiny’s Child

11. Beautiful, Dirty, Rich – Lady GaGa

12. Raise Your Glass – Pink

I hope you enjoy these songs and that they help get you moving and loving your body the way they help me. Are there any tunes you especially love to listen to when you work out? Let me know!
