Leaked! One Direction’s Midnight Memories

Stop right there. Are you a dedicated, rude-abiding One Direction fan who wants to wait until their forthcoming album Midnight Memories officially drops next week? Are you bad at dealing with temptation? If you answered yes to either of those questions, you’d better check out something else, like this Waking Up With Kimye sketch.

For the rest of you who are still with us (and let’s not lie, most of you probably are), we’ve got some good news: Midnight Memories has officially leaked and you can stream it below! Their third album features singles “Best Song Ever” and “Story of My Life,” as well as their usual mix of upbeat songs to blast in the car to swoony love ballads that you’ll only be slightly embarrassed to have on repeat.

If you’re wondering how the boys are dealing with the leak, it sounds like they’re dealing with it with a mix of annoyance and good humor. Yesterday, they spoke to Digital Spy at a signing for their new book Where We Are and dished out their reactions.

“It is annoying because there’s this big build-up and it affects sales,” said Liam Payne. “We really want a number one, so we’re just kind of hoping for the best now. Hopefully people go out and buy it.”

Louis Tomlinson continued, “It’s just frustrating when you work so hard on an album and you kind of want everyone to hear it at the same time. Some select fans won’t listen to it until it’s out, which is great. But there are others who obviously can’t help themselves.”

If you’re feeling a little guilty about not being able to resist temptation, rest assured, you have Harry’s blessing.

“It’s just nice to have an impact,” he said. “If there was an album I liked and I could listen to it a week before, I probably would.”

Okay, so maybe not his blessing, but definitely his understanding. Enjoy rocking out, collegiettes!
