The phrase “famous for being famous” has been sustained by the Kardashian family for the last decade and a half. From the Met Gala dress scandal to photoshop allegations, this family seems to stay in the headlines constantly. Their most recent headline? Kim Kardashian allegedly cried a CGI tear.
For a family with a reality show, a lot of people criticize the Kardashians for being as far from reality as you can get. On a recent episode of The Kardashians on Disney+, lots of fans questioned if one of Kim’s tears were real or if it was edited through computer animation software.
During this particular scene, Kim gets emotional over Khloe finding love again after having a second baby with Tristan Thompson. Kim uses a finger to dab, a tear without wiping it away. This alleged tear has left a lot of fans puzzled, as they noticed that she didn’t remove the tear and that light reflected off of it, as if it were animated or digitally added onto her face.
To be transparent (since that tear is not) — at the end of the day, it really doesn’t matter. It’s not a big deal, and a lot of fans (including me), either didn’t notice or don’t care! Weirdly, though, a lot of people are mad about this, mand some are even analyzing the clip to prove their point.
In my opinion, there’s no need for all this attention over a tear, but maybe someone in the Kardashian-Jenner family can clear up the rumors for good. After all, North outed Kim on Instagram live with a comment about “that isn’t your real voice!” and this feels too similar. Maybe if we’re lucky, North and Penelope will update us about the tear on TikTok. Stay tuned!
