Hot Bod! Secret to a Better Body

UH OH! Tight dress…what to do…

So I decided to test a new product. I had never tried shapewear before, and knew very little about it. I did know that plenty of girls in my sorority would slip on a pair before formal events when wearing itty bitty dresses…but I never knew much about them or how they worked.

I decided to test out Leonisa Compression Body Shaper when I went out for a bachelorette party (my first!). I figured this would be a good time to test it because I wore a sequin slip under my dress which was kind of itchy on my skin, and the body shaper would be something in between my skin and the slip.

Leonisa’s full body shapers come in boyshort cuts as well as briefs and thong. I tested out the boyshorts, which wouldn’t have been my first choice, but they came in handy with this super super short dress. The first thing I noticed after I got the shapewear on (I found it pretty easy to get on — as there were internal hooks along your stomach so that you could fit the body shaper nice and tight without worrying about pinching your tummy) was how my posture changed. The shapewear sort of forced me to stand up straight, which had beneficial effects on the appearance of my body.

One thing I didn’t like about the Leonisa Compression body shaper was the straps. With my bra straps, the body shaper straps, and slip straps it was overwhelming. Fortunately someone realized I could remove them! So that problem was easily fixed. So keep that in mind when using this product. It will stay up just fine without the straps if it fits correctly. And plus you can slip the extra fabric under your bra to ensure it stays up if you are worried.

Overall I was really pleased with the body shaper. It wasn’t too uncomfortable where I couldn’t sit or drink without being in pain, but it did make my stomach look smoother and definitely enhanced my posture. I think having a piece of shapewear is a good investment, unless you’re 110% pleased with your body (and then congrats to you!). They are great to wear under tight dresses (especially uncomfortable sequined ones) and will have your stomach looking flatter, butt perkier, and spine straighter.

Get your Leonisa Compression body shaper HERE for $49.99-$59.99 (depending on the bottom cut).
