Fox News Personality Randomly Lashes Out at Megyn Kelly on Twitter

As election day approaches, Fox News has become one more workplace where political tensions are causing major rifts between friends and coworkers.

On Wednesday night, Fox News anchor Sean Hannity lashed out at his network colleague, Megyn Kelly, on social media. His accusations claimed that Kelly showed bias in the presidential election and is a HRC supporter.

Hannity tweeted, “u should be mad at @HillaryClinton. Clearly you support her. And @realDonaldTrump did talk to u.”

This social media attack was in response to a quote from Kelly during her show, saying that Trump has stuck to friendly interviews with Republican TV personalities rather than with more hard-hitting journalists like herself.

“With all due respect to my friend at 10 o’clock, he will go on Hannity and pretty much only Hannity and will not venture out to the unsafe spaces these days,” she said.

This catfight between the anchors isn’t that surprising. According to The New York Times, the exchange sheds a light on the ‘generational tensions’ within Fox News. Kelly’s show attracts a younger audience, and she’s also shaken things up at Fox with what some would call feminist behavior—She nearly pushed Donald Trump to a meltdown by pointing out his history of sexism during the first Republican primary debate, and supported the women who accused former Fox News CEO Roger Ailes of sexual harassment, causing his ouster.

What was strange about the attack was that Hannity was accusing someone of bias when he himself is clearly extremely biased. According to the Associated Press, Hannity has openly expressed his support for Trump and even appeared in one of his campaign videos.

As of right now, the clash has only appeared on social media. Neither Hannity nor Kelly mentioned the spat on either or their shows. So…guess that was just one more weird thing that’s happened during this election.
