Zayn Malik’s New Song is Telling the Haters to Back Off

As Nicki Minaj would say, “Shout out my haters, sorry that you couldn’t faze me.” It looks like Zayn Malik has taken on this mentality with his new song “BeFoUr,” which appears to be addressing all of his ex-One Direction fans and is maybe even trying to take a stab at his ex-bandmates. I mean, the letters F and U stand in bold in the song’s title, so we think it’s pretty clear that this song is basically a cold screw you to everyone who doesn’t support Zayn’s choice to go solo. With lyrics like, “So say what you wanna say, what you want / Shame is you won’t say that to my face,” there’s a very definitive message Zayn is sending out to all of his ex-fans.

It’s not just 1D lovers he’s speaking to, though—we’re thinking this song has a little message to his former bandmembers, too. “Now I’m gonna stay in my zone / I’m tired of picking that bone,” he sings.

We’re not complaining—he can stay in his zone all he wants. We’ve loved everything he’s put out so far, so we agree… haters, back off!
