Vanessa Hudgens Comes Cleans About Coping With Her Father’s Death

In January, Vanessa Hudgens’s father passed away from stage four cancer. Hudgens and her family stepped out of the public eye for a time so they could privately mourn their loss. Dealing with death is a tough process for anyone to go through, but sometimes talking about it is even harder.

Now, Hudgens is opening up about her father’s death in an interview with People, discussing what she and her family have been going through these past few months.

“There are highs and there are lows. It sucks, but death happens. It never makes it easier but it happens to all of us. It’s just something we have to get through until we all meet again in heaven.”

Hudgens also expressed that although this process is difficult, she is very thankful and appreciative that she has had lots of love and support from her mother throughout this emotional journey: “My mom looks out through such beautiful eyes. I’ve learned to follow her lead.”

We love that Hudgens is sharing her struggle with the world since many others are dealing with the same thing. And we know she will remain strong with the amazing support system she has on her side.
