The Top 5 Disney Channel Episodes to Watch on Halloween

I used to be obsessed with Disney Channel around the Halloween season – and I'm sure you were too. (Who am I kidding? I’m still pretty obsessed with it.) However, while everyone was gushing about the movies, I preferred the Halloween episodes of TV shows. Hopefully this will make you feel nostalgic and inspire you to do a rewatch, courtesy of Disney+!

  1. 1. The Ghost of Suite 613

If you grew up in the early 2000s, chances are you remember this episode! I can’t tell you the amount of people I’ve talked to that have made this their go-to on their yearly Halloween watchlist. ,

I think out of all the episodes of Suite Life of Zack and Cody, this is the most memorable. That makes sense, considering that this episode is what gave the show the ratings that it needed to have a longer run. Everyone needs to watch this episode no matter how old you are because it’s just that iconic! I remember that it absolutely terrified five-year-old me and I couldn’t sleep for days after it aired! Cody, Zack, London, Maddie and Esteban all spend the night in a haunted hotel.

  2. 2. Halloweird

While the My Babysitter’s A Vampire movie is a Halloween staple, the series even had a Halloween themed episode. The episode follows Ethan and Benny as they throw a Halloween party. Everything goes well until Rory shows up, uninvited, wearing a mask that will turns everyone into their costume. Benny has until midnight to reverse the spell before the guests turn into their costumes forever.

I forgot how much I loved Ethan and Sarah and their dynamic! They remind me a lot of Stiles and Lydia from Teen Wolf. I think it’s going to be one of those Halloween episodes that I rewatch every year.

  3. 3. Halloween

This episode is probably one of my favorite episodes, not just as a Halloween special, but as a Wizards of Waverly Place episode in general! The plot line of the episode is that the Russo’s are hosting their annual haunted house, but they’re told that their house isn’t scary enough, threatening their reputation as the scariest house. In an attempt to ensure that they remain the reigning winners, Alex enlists the help of the Wizard World to help make the house more interesting.

For as long as I can remember, this has always been an episode that I rewatch every year to put me in the Halloween mood. I have such vivid memories of this episode from my childhood and all the iconic moments that happened in it. In fact, I was terrified of Mantooth Scaryface when I was younger.

  4. 4. The Tale of the Haunted Firehouse

Ah, Jonas! The Disney Channel show that gave us the weekly dose of the Jonas Brothers. (Thought, if I’m being honest, I completely forgot about this episode until I rewatched it recently.)

Throughout the episode, the boys are going ghost hunting and Nick ends up going missing. While the dialogue is a bit awkward at times, I think that it made the episode more hilarious.

Along with that, the music featured in the episode is really good too!Just like the My Babysitter's A Vampire episode, I think I'm going to watch it every year.

  5. 5. Girl Meets World of Terror 3

While I’m sure this isn’t on a lot of people’s lists when they think about their favorite Halloween episodes, it’s certainly on mine. In a way, it would feel weird if it wasn’t on the list. Girl Meets World is one of my comfort shows, if not the one that brings me the most joy, and Sabrina Carpenter has had a profound impact on my life.

Much like the other episodes in the World of Terror Series, the episode is narrated by Auggie Matthews, Riley’s little brother. The plot of the episode is to put a “spooky” twist on the main theme of the show: People change people. The episode is high stakes of sorts, showing that the people you meet will change your life forever. That is shown when Auggie isn’t born because Riley hasn’t met her best friend, Maya.

Not only does the episode have a good message, but there are also some good moments between Riley and Maya, which happens to be my favorite ship on the show!

Whether you love or hate Halloween, you can’t deny that Disney has produced iconic episodes themed around the holiday. So what are you waiting for? Open up Disney+ and enjoy all the spooky nostalgia it has to offer!
