Troian Bellisario and Patrick J. Adams recently tied the knot at a “Fort Day”-themed wedding. The couple had been engaged since February 2014, and we can see why the nuptials took so long to plan.
The wedding was actually a three-day “glamping” trip for the pair’s closest 200 friends and family, and we already know how breathtakingly gorgeous it was. What makes the event even more special is the meaning behind its theme. Adams took to Instagram to tell people why they chose to turn their wedding into a wonderland filled with forts.
“8 years ago we built a pillow fort in my old apartment and started a conversation that has grown into a whole life. It was just a quiet shared idea that became a yearly tradition,” he wrote. “This year we invited some more people. A lot more. And we made a wedding out of it.”
