Puppy Bowl 2019: Meet the Cute Pups Competing on Team Ruff & Team Fluff

The Super Bowl is this weekend but if you’re no football fan and want to catch the cutest sporting event in life, there’s always the Puppy Bowl!

The 15th Annual Puppy Bowl is airing on Animal Planet this Sunday and dog lovers across the United States are getting ready to tune in to the big event. Each of the puppies in the Puppy Bowl are unique in their own adorable way. Not to mention, these tiny competitors are rescues and in previous years, viewers even had a chance to adopt them.

Out of the total 93 puppies, 39 puppies are competing in teams. The two teams this year are Team Fluff and Team Ruff. Animal Planet released a lineup of the puppies in early January—here are just a few that caught our eye.

The Puppies of Team Fluff

Alvin is a 17-week-old German Shorthaired Pointer-Rottweiler from Virginia.

Checkers

Meet Checkers, a 13-week-old American Staffordshire Terrier-Chihuahua from California.

Chance

This is Chance and he is the only Dalmatian in this year’s Puppy Bowl. He is 18-weeks-old, which is a little older than most of the puppies in the Bowl.

Joy

Joy is probably the prettiest out of all the puppies this year. She is a 15-week-old Miniature Poodle from Florida.

Buckalew

Buckalew is small but talented. He is a 13-week-old Chihuahua-Dachshund from Iowa.
