I’m Crying At Mandy Moore & Shane West Celebrating the 16th Anniversary of ‘A Walk to Remember’

I can’t believe it’s been so long, but A Walk to Remember is officially 16 years old! Based on a Nicholas Sparks novel, the story of Jamie and Landon slowly falling in love in a small town before encountering tragedy has made countless people smile (and cry).

Lead actors Mandy Moore and Shane West obviously haven’t forgotten how special the film is, because they each tweeted out super-cute throwback pics this morning:

Of course, fans of the movie (AKA all of us) were getting a bit emotional on Twitter.

There was crying.

And comparisons to This Is Us, in which Moore plays mother Rebecca Pearson.

There were even a couple of wonderful personal anecdotes.

In short, I think I’m not the only one considering doing a re-watch tonight — tissue box in hand, of course!
