Emma Chamberlain Shared A Secret About Her Met Gala Interviews On ‘Hot Ones’

Well, it’s official! Emma Chamberlain is one of those rare personalities who can still be funny and charming with tears streaming down her face. If there’s one thing we can take away from Chamberlain’s recent Hot Ones interview on Nov. 3, it’s that at 21, she’s got the confidence and personality to appeal to people of all ages — which is probably the main reason she’s become the internet sensation that she is.

To those of you who are new to her story, Chamberlain’s journey began in 2017 when she started her own YouTube channel. A self-taught creator, she soon found herself with an increasing number of subscribers and a viral video which basically led to her becoming an overnight sensation. Long story short, she’s now the proud owner of her own coffee company, Chamberlain Coffee,  a podcast called Anything Goes, and a gorgeous home that is envied by everyone

In more recent events, Chamberlain graced our screens in her very one Hot Ones interview where she ate some spicy wings, shed some tears, and shared some fun facts about herself.

Chamberlain has tried the Hot Ones challenge before.

A true fan of hot sauce and the Hot Ones show, Chamberlain’s done her own version of a Hot Ones interview in the past with a replica hot sauce collection at home. “I’ve done this before. My friends and I went to a hot sauce store in LA and bought your whole line up and tried it on our own,” Chamberlain said. “This is going to be the easiest interview of my life.” Famous last words…

She’s got one major expectation for a good cup of coffee.

What more could you expect from the owner of her own coffee company? For Chamberlain, a good cup of coffee should be a journey of its own without any added flavors or sweeteners.

Her editing style has changed a lot from when she first started.

While she gained her popularity with her fast-paced videos, with plenty of jump cuts and zooms in and out, Chamberlain currently prefers a slower pace with her content. “More recently, I’ve been like, let’s slow it down,” Chamberlain said. “And I’m proud of that, being sort of a new thing — like, let’s cool things down a little bit.”

She makes a lot of her own food products.

One of her biggest highlights in the kitchen was making her own nut milk. Apart from that, Chamberlain also shared her secret to making the perfect homemade peanut butter: vanilla bean and dates. Who’d’ve thought, right?

Chamberlain was freaking out during her Met Gala interviews for one reason.

With a tonsil stone affecting her breath, Chamberlain was feasting on Altoids all through her interviews to cover the underlying condition. “That was brutal for me,” said Chamberlain. “I was, like, freaking out in between each one.”

Chamberlain loves things with animals on it.

In particular, the hot sauce with the cat on it might have gone home with her after today’s interview. “That cat is just so cute. It makes me want to buy the hot sauce, because I love when animals are on stuff,” Chamberlain said.

Being on Hot Ones was Chamberlain’s height of fame.

Being a guest on the show has been a dream of hers since its origin and going on the show was how she measured her own success. “I always wanted to come on the show, because I’ve been obsessed with it since it, like, literally came out and started,” Chamberlain said. “Once I go on Hot Ones, I can retire. Like, that’s always been my thing.”
