Chris Brown and Rihanna Reuniting Musically… Or More?

Needless to say, ever since the Grammys, there has been a lot of rumors circulating around the idea that Rihanna and Chris Brown might be hooking up again.

But for now, we can only be sure that they’ve been spending a lot of quality time in the studio together. The two former lovers tweeted their newly remixed “Birthday Cake” and “Turn Up The Music.”

Both of these remixes are lyrically awkward, to say the least. Brown’s addition to “Birthday Cake” basically consists of repeating Rihanna’s first verse, declaring, “I’mma make you my bitch,” while, she’s practically begging Chris to come back to her. Rihanna sings, “I love you, baby” in the remix of Brown’s pop single “Turn Up The Music.” Some fans have responded angrily, feeling that Rihanna may be sending her younger fans the wrong message about men and love. The duo separated in 2009 after a highly-publicized incident of domestic abuse during which Brown badly beat Rihanna.

The two artists have anticipated the backlash from their musical collaboration and have been firing back at their critics via Twitter. Here’s Rihanna’s tweets:
