The Internet was in a frenzy on Friday after Alexis Bledel, AKA Lena Kaligaris of The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, appeared on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon and casually revealed to all of us that a third installment of everyone’s favorite teenage book/movie has already been pitched.
As if this wasn’t amazing news as it is, one other OG star of the movie has chimed in to add that, not only could a Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 3 happen, there’s already a full-fledged script, people!
“I realize what I’m about to say regarding the third installment of the Sisterhood franchise is not enough to break the internet, but certainly could crack it…” she tweeted, before leaving us all hanging for a total of 18 minutes until her next tweet, giving Twitter plenty of time to collectively lose it.
“Sorry for that delay, my daughter needed me,” She added in a follow-up tweet when she *finally* returned. “Where was I? Oh yes. Alexis is right. We’ve been pitching and there is a script. A good one. It’s up to a studio now to make the film. So far, no luck. So keep your fingers crossed, or, knock down their doors with jeans emojis.”

Um, WHAT?! Considering even Blake Lively has said she’d be on board with a third movie (making America Ferrera the only major cast member who hasn’t weighed in either way), what are the studios waiting for? You’ve gotta give the people what they want, and considering the reactions in recent days to Alexis’s and Amber’s news, the people clearly want a Sisterhood 3.
