Planning on running the Boston Marathon this year? Whether you’ll be competing, cheering on a friend or just catching the race on TV, you’ll definitely want to check out the brand new Boston Marathon World Run app, available on Apple and Android phones as well as online. Adidas, in conjunction with the Boston Athletic Association, launched the campaign on Wednesday.
The World Run app is designed to connect people from all over the world with one another and with the 2014 Boston Marathon via social media. The app allows you (or you and your team!) to set and track your own running goals, log your miles, and even compare your times to those of elite marathon runners and athletes. You also have the option of donating to One Fund Boston, with proceeds going to people affected by the Boston Marathon bombing last April.
If you want to get involved in the 118th Boston Marathon, Adidas is inviting you to “Run Boston” by sharing personal stories and iconic landmarks from around the world on social media. Tell people why you’re running with the Twitter hashtag #WeAllRunBoston.
