The F**k List: How One Co-ed Reports on Her College Hook-ups

Imagine your entire college sexual history put into a PowerPoint presentation and spread on the Internet for the entire world to see? That is exactly what happened to Duke University graduate Karen F. Owen. She made a hook-up report that was only intended for a few friends, but was eventually leaked to cyberspace and beyond.

In her detailed report of her entire college hook-up history (complete with a graph and scoring system), readers can assume with certainty that the girl “did” her “homework.”

Owen calls her report “the F**k List,” while more formally referring to it as a study of “horizontal academics,” in which she posts names, pictures, scores and many other juicy details about each of her thirteen subjects. She was originally inspired to create her list when one of her subjects sexted her saying, “So where do I rank on your f**k list?” which she supports in her acknowledgements section of her report.

Each of her subjects were Duke University athletes and each report is unique and different. Some scores are very low while others are way above average depending on a variety of factors such as looks/attractiveness, endowment, athletic ability and personality, to name a few. The author even includes a section of “memorable moments” for each subject, which can include anything from an anecdote about a guy to a series of sexts between them. And what report would be complete without pros and cons? Some guys got off the hook by having no cons while others such as subject 2 (who received a score of 1/10) didn’t get off so easily:

“Absolutely everything else about him and the situation as whole [was a con]. Also, I accidentally left my favorite pair of earrings from South Africa. When I texted him this fact, he responded with ‘I will leave them outside of the building for you.”

When adding the finishing touches on her report with a graph and final percentage rank of the highest and lowest scores, Karen had a system for tiebreakers:

“Where the scores were tied, rank was awarded for looks, body type, creativity, and most importantly, my level of entertainment.

So what does this mean for Karen, her subjects and for women everywhere? Is this report meant to empower women or degrade men, or both? Whatever the answer, the report is sure to stir up some interest in the days to come! Check out Karen’s report here and tell us what you think!
