The “Anti-Palin”? What do you think about California’s new attorney general?

Sarah Palin’s certainly been in the news lately, but not for anything particularly political.  Sure, some of us collegiettes™ may find her reality show “Sarah Palin’s Alaska,” er. . . entertaining, but I think we’ve all been waiting for a new woman politico who’s getting buzz for policy changes, not cable ratings.  Is California’s newly-elected attorney general, Kamala Harris (D), that woman?
I recently read this article on Politico about Harris, and it seems that she is, at least for Democrats.  They’re calling her the “anti-Palin,” in fact.  She’s the first woman AND the first African-American to hold the office of attorney general in California.  And she’s serious about keeping underprivileged kids in school–when she was district attorney in San Francisco, she worked with parents and children to reduce truancy rates.
I’m excited to see what Harris does as this new office brings her more national recognition.  It can never hurt to have one more smart, savvy woman in office, right?  What do you think, collegiettes™?
