Zoe Beckett

Hello!! My name is Zoe Beckett and I am a sophomore, media management major from Atlanta, Georgia partaking in the Howard Chapter for Her Campus. My position in this organization is to lead, provide, and grow within the Social Media department acting as a Social Media Director. In this position, it will be my role and duty to provide not only content that I feel best suits our target audience but also to stay in touch with what they want to watch, read, or listen to as well. I’d be overseeing the entirety of engagement for our social media sites and determining the aesthetics of those sites to keep a clean and uniform look.
Being a media management major is an extreme passion of mine. I get to really browse and analyze how media can change and progress over the years and apply it to whatever is going on then and there. I also feel as though I have a natural gift for speaking for the people which is why it has helped me so much and pushed me to the major that I selected. As a perfectionist, I only want to deliver the best of the best and love seeing engaging results from my work. Howard University is also doing a splendid job of presenting opportunities for me and cultivating my craft.
Whenever I am simply focusing on myself and my well-being, I love to indulge in self-care and maintain my upkeep. It always starts with music and R&B just so happens to be my favorite genre, keeping me very calm and serene. I love having my nails done and appearing put-together from the hair, the outfit, the brows, to the lipgloss. Spirituality is also extremely important to me and tends to make me feel ten times better whenever I’m tapped into that side of myself. Overall though, I just love aesthetics and organization so my life tends to revolve around that.
