Rhiannon Schaefer

Inspired by the Fleetwood Mac song, my name is Rhiannon Schaefer. I grew up in Independence and Blue Springs, MO., and now attend school at the University of Kansas. I love to read, dance and travel.

Currently, I am making plans to spend a year abroad. I intend to learn about as many cultures as possible throughout this beautiful life. By studying and interning abroad, I will advance my communication skills, form meaningful connections, gain global awareness and get exposure to greater professional opportunities.

I value loyalty, flexibility and authenticity. I practiced ballet for thirteen years, which I credit for teaching me the importance of discipline and dedication. Above all, I value kindness and acceptance. One can never know what another is experiencing behind the scenes, so everyone deserves to be treated with courtesy.

Due to my passion in writing, photography, creativity and analytics, I chose to expand on those skills by majoring in digital marketing communications at the William Allen White School of Journalism and Mass Communications. To enhance my career credentials and future agenda, I am minoring in business. I have recently begun exploring the idea of law school after receiving my bachelor's. I would love to study for my law degree at NYU or Columbia and begin my career in New York City.
