Rachel Polotsky

My name is Rachel Polotsky, and I am currently a freshman at the University of Maryland, College Park. I was born and raised in Pikesville, Maryland! I graduated from McDonogh School in Owings Mills, Maryland in 2023. I am currently a psychology major on the pre-med track. I am studying to be a psychiatrist!
The study of psychology is one of my biggest interests. Specifically, I am fascinated by the brain and mental illness. I hope to help people, especially children, one day in coping with any mental struggle they may suffer from.
Besides psychology, I am incredibly interested in fashion. One of my favorite pastimes is thrifting and styling outfits! I love makeup and skincare, additionally. Another big interest of mine is travel. I have explored many countries and territories in my lifetime, and I also love to photograph what I see (especially with a film camera)! Finally, I am also big on pop culture. I love listening to music, watching movies and TV shows, reading books, etc.
Since childhood, I have loved to write and share my opinions with anybody willing to listen. From fiction to research, writing has always come natural to me. I hope to begin writing about different topics in pop culture, including music and fashion!
