Lily Moore

My name is Lily Moore and I am currently in my second year at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. I am a Political Science major with a concentration in citizen politics. Alongside that, I am also working on a minor in both public relations and media. After I graduate, I plan on pursuing a career in public relations or social media.
That being said, I also have a passion for writing. In high school I spent two years working on our newspaper, “The Talon” which really allowed me to expand my writing techniques. I kept that passion my first year at college and enrolled in a journalism course. Then I found Her Campus. What I love about Her Campus is that I have the ability to practice my skills and learn more about my future career. I love being able to share and hear creative ideas from a large group of women.
In my free time I really like being active, whether that be in the gym, going on a walk, or my favorite is hiking. I am at my best when I am busy so I have done over 550 hours of volunteer work at places like thrift stores, food drives, animal shelters, and local schools. Finally, one of my favorite things to do with my roommates is trying new recipes!
