Gabriella Di Cesare

Hi I’m Gabby, and I’m a writer here at Her Campus. I’m a second year student doing my Honours Spec in Philosophy at Western. After my undergrad, I plan to go to law school and live out my Elle Woods fantasy. I’ve always loved to write and read, and doing so in a space that empowers women is so exciting!

My personal interests include music, reading and beauty. Ever since I was young, I’ve been involved in theatre and different kinds of productions as I always loved being on a stage and in front of super big lights. I’m also a huge book worm, my favourite book is the Song of Achilles, and I’ve always gravitated towards fantasy and romance type books (which I attribute to my Harry Potter obsession as a kid). My final favourite thing is everything to do with beauty. I am a certified makeup artist and have always loved the art of makeup and beauty. Something about completely transforming someone has always been so interesting to me, and although I don’t do it professionally, I still do my friends and families faces for fun.

This year, I’m hoping to produce some really fun and informative articles for people to read. I’m looking forward to writing about everything from the newest fashion and beauty trends, to what new movies are actually worth watching, to how to keep yourself safe and healthy as a women, to advice I wish someone told me when I first started university. I think that female spaces are hard to find, so having something like Her Campus should be celebrated. I’m excited for you to read my articles! :)
