I reviewed all of the movies and TV shows coming soon to Netflix and you’re going to want to save these dates! I’m excited for the return of some of my favorite tv shows and other really interesting new films.
Here is what I found most promising on Netflix’s coming soon list:
- Ozark Season 4 Part 2, coming April 29
I loved Ozark so I’m only slightly embarrassed to say that when part 1 of season 4 was released, I binged it in only a day. The season was filled with shocking events and it left on an even more shocking cliffhanger. Part 2 is going to be the last season for Ozark, and I think it will finally give fans closure. Tune in to see how this amazing series ends!
- White Hot: The Rise and Fall of Abercrombie and Fitch, coming April 19
When I was younger, I remember wearing Abercrombie and Fitch was like social capital. I felt so cool when I entered the store and all of my European cousins would come to America and rave about it. We all know that the brand is not what it used to be, especially with the shirtless male models and overall superficiality gone.
The documentary’s trailer shows that the film will dive in on how the brand excluded body types and marketed itself to only the “cool” kids. It talks about how the brand influenced culture by deeming white-fit people as the status quo, while at the same time enabling discrimination and exclusivity. I think this documentary will be eye-opening and everyone should watch it.
- Stranger Things, Season 4 Vol. 1, coming May 27
I feel like the Stranger Things series boosted Netflix’s production career. For the past 5 years, the show’s been a phenomenon; everyone I know has seen it and loved it. If you never hopped on the bandwagon, I suggest you start watching the series immediately. This series is probably my favorite on Netflix’s coming soon list because the last season was released 3 years ago. Fans have been waiting for the final chapter of Eleven and her friends’ stories for a long time.
Recently, I rewatched the whole series in preparation and I suggest everyone do the same. Because of the huge gaps between season releases, it is hard to remember everything that happened and this season is sure to be action-packed and unforgiving.
- Anatomy of a Scandal, coming April 15
This series is a new Netflix-produced show, centered around a woman named Sophie and her privileged life as the wife of a powerful politician named James. The trailer shows how soon her life is turned upside down by the reveal of her husband’s scandalous secrets, and possibly a crime he committed. If you love psychological thrillers and drama, I highly recommend setting a reminder for this promising series.
