My Favorite Tik Tok Influencers As A Young Woman in College

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Temple chapter.

Find some joy and inspiration with these Tik Tok accounts.

The following are several Tik Tok influencers that just make content to make you feel good. Between all of them you will see content from fitness, fashion, daily vlogs, makeup routines, and food ideas. Personally, I enjoy the content from all of these women and feel that it targets a similar audience as Her Campus: strong women who value self-care, self-love, and self-growth. Read on for some suggestions of feel-good content that will make your day:

Fitness and Healthy Living: Jade Overton (@jadeovertonn) and Julie Lawton (@julielawton678)

These two influencers have given me so much motivation on my fitness journey. They post videos of “shy girl” workouts for beginners in the gym, which I am, as well as post their daily workout routines. I like how they cater to their followers who are looking to better themselves and begin their journey, as well as sharing some more intense workouts for those who are more comfortable in the gym. When I see their posts it motivates me to workout and perhaps even try a new routine.

Vlog Style: Dani Meyler (@db2tch) and Kaleigh Holomuzki (@life.with.kal2)

When I found these two influencers on my feed, I was instantly intrigued because they post the type of videos where they talk to the camera as if they are on FaceTime with you. They post content about their life in college, get ready with me videos, or random storytimes. I think many young women in college can find this content relatable and enjoyable as we are all college girls that are trying to figure it out.

Lifestyle, Get Ready With Me, Hauls: Taylor Donoghue (@taylordonoghuee), Liv Mathews (@livmathews), Kaeli Mae (@kaelimaee), and Olivia Dejarnett (@notoliviadejarnett)

Vlog or montage style videos of someone going through their day just gives me a rush of serotonin I didn’t know I needed! Of course the typical “day in my life” videos can often be fabricated and only show the good moments, but sometimes that is nice to see and it gives me motivation to make myself have a great day. These influencers post a mix of those kinds of videos as well as realistic videos about daily life as a college student.

I think the reason I gravitate towards these kinds of videos and creators is because I can relate to their lifestyles and feelings about self-care. These girls preach the importance of taking care of yourself first and how it’s okay to not completely fit in with the stereotypical “college” life. Sometimes staying in to do your full skincare routine and get your work done is okay. While other times you should allow yourself to go out and have a fun weekend. A healthy balance is important. Feeling validation through the videos they post have really helped me stray away from feeling the pressures of following the “college lifestyle.” Oh, the power of a 15-60 second TikTok video!
