Budget Friendly Vacation Getaway Ideas For You & Your Bae

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Lynn chapter.

Every couple needs a mini-vacation, or as some may say, a weekend getaway. Between school and part-time jobs, life gets busy and overwhelming. Go take a few days off with your partner and focus on anything but stresses and live in the moment with each other. Here are four ideas you and your bae need to explore.

Mini 4 Day Cruises

Royal Caribbean and Carnival Cruise line are some perfect cruise companies to look into. Both have four days trips that are budget-friendly to split with your partner or even treat them to. You can choose where you want to go with a selection of dates. With various restaurants and entertainment on the boat, the fun is never-ending. There are usually two places the ship will take you to, depending on what you choose when booking the trip. You will get to experience a new island for the day and get back on the boat in the evening time. Summertime or a school break is the best time to go, as if you have a job, you would need to make sure you get time off. There are so much mini-cruises have to offer; especially if you live in Florida, you can drive to the cruise port, which is very cost-effective and convenient.

Staycation

Sometimes you need to get out of your everyday routine and leave your home. Booking a nearby hotel with a pool and restaurants may be all you need with your bae. Choose a limit of how far the hotel will be and the money spent on the weekend. We all need a break once in a while, and we don’t always need to go all out. You also may not have the time to go on a more extended getaway, so a weekend could be precisely what you need. You and your bae will enjoy quality time together and feel refreshed and ready for the week when you return.

Mini Road Trip

Sometimes it’s fun to explore different areas that you haven’t seen in your state or country. Pick a destination close by within driving distance and choose one particular event to do. Stay at a hotel overnight or maybe even in your car. Adventure is waiting for you. For all the spontaneous couples, this is your calling. Make sure to make a budget and stick to it. Take the weekend or the week. This could be a great way to travel together.

Day Trips

Maybe you and your bae do not have the time or money to stay anywhere other than your home. No worries, you can always plan a day trip and drive back home to sleep and leave for a new day trip in the morning. You may need to spend extra time driving, but this could be an option if time is not a concern. You can plan to do anything but your usual date nights. Google is your best friend; search five areas around you. Have fun! Day trips are busy, long, and full of memories.

Enjoy the time and your partner’s company, connect and destress from everyday life no matter what you choose. Create those core memories that you can look back on for years with your bae.
