Your Binge List: Three Thrillers You Need To Watch If You Haven’t Already!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Delhi North chapter.

Movies are definitely a great source of entertainment. They unite people and perspectives and create a beam of suspense, imagination and fantasies in a world full of lonely and idle minds.

Every genre makes sure that it touches upon a unique set of audience’s feelings. But the genre that rattles your core, blows your mind and sometimes even wrenches your heart is Thriller.

And let us be real, the feeling of adrenaline rushing through our veins while our heart races and our mind tries to anticipate what’s to come is indeed exhilarating.

Thriller movies tend to tickle our minds and keep us on the edge of our seats till the end, making us question things that often seem to us as absolute.

Whether you’re a suspense movie fanatic or a newbie looking for something different to try, these three movies should definitely be on your binge-list if you haven’t watched them already.

GONE GIRL (2014)

A perfect home, a perfect marriage and a perfect life.

But if it was all so perfect, why did Amy Dunne mysteriously disappear one day? Was she in trouble or was it something else entirely?

While you might not know the answer to these questions, you may have guessed that all was not as good as it seemed.

Based on the best-selling novel by Gillian Flynn, the gripping storyline and intense performance by the whole cast will have you biting your nails till the end.

ZODIAC (2007)

If true crime stories are your calling, this one is for you.

A masterpiece By David Fincher, this movie grasps the essence of its happenings from a serial killer a.k.a “The Zodiac” who operated in the ’60s and ’70s in the San Francisco Bay area.

Be it a star-studded cast including Robert Downey Junior, Mark Ruffalo and Jake Gyllenhaal, the cryptic puzzles or the phenomenal production, this movie has it all!

TAXI DRIVER (1976)

This is a brilliant film that won the hearts of many! It is directed by Martin Scorsese. With a simple yet compelling storyline and a marvellous performance by the whole cast (especially Robert De Niro), this movie is an absolute must-watch. It is suspenseful, dark, notorious and has phenomenal visuals – each scene has been shot to perfection.

If you decide on watching the movie, which I think you absolutely should, you are in for a ride (pun intended)!

So grab a bucket full of popcorn and get a hold of your perfect binging spot because you’re in for a spine- chilling movie session. Trust me.
