The highly anticipated Pitsgiving did not disappoint. As I walked to my 11:00 A.M. class, the line was already wrapping around Reynolda. I was worried I would never get in. I texted my friends and broke the news: unless one of us reserved a table, there was virtually zero chance we would get to enjoy reaping the benefits of the annual feast… no turkey, no stuffing, no pie. Fast forward seven hours, and we finally make it to the pit, where there is magically no line. The setup is amazing. There is everything I could have imagined eating and more. The only consequence is how I feel now, which is stuffed.

Unofficial Polls (4 of my friends were surveyed)

Dessert Rankings
  1. Cherry Pie (a la mode)
  2. Pumpkin pie (Very close runner-up)
  3. Peach Cobbler
  4. Apple Pie
Meat Rankings
  1. Chicken Wings (Who knew wings went so well with Thanksgiving?)
  2. Ham
  3. Turkey
Vegetables
  1. Green Beans (Unanimous decision. No others need to be mentioned)
Sides
  1. Mashed Potatoes
  2. Stuffing
  3. Mac and Cheese (“Bland” was a common description)

The polls make it clear: Pitsgiving should be a national holiday. Special shout out to the Pit staff for making this wonderful feast possible!
