A build your own mac n’ cheese bowl?! I’ll take two, thank you.
Yep, you read that right— a new build-your-own mac n’ cheese restaurant has graced our presence here in Columbia. From customizable pasta bowls to grilled cheese sandwiches with cheesy gooeyness in the middle, this new spot is sure to be a hit. As a mac and cheese lover myself, I know I can’t wait to give it a try.
I Heart Mac & Cheese opened in the Columbia area on September 22 and offers a wide variety of ingredients to choose from when building your mac n’ cheese experience. You can get a signature mac n’ cheese bowl, such as the chicken parmesan bowl, short rib philly, or lobster mac n’ cheese, or you can order a build-your-own bowl. Build your own bowls come with different options for pasta type, sauce, protein, vegetables, and last, but certainly not least, cheese (that is what we’re here for, isn’t it?) The restaurant also offers side options such as tater tots, tomato soup (AKA grilled cheese’s BFF), and fried mac and cheese bites with your choice of barbecue, buffalo, or marinara sauce (okay, seriously, I’m getting hungry now.)
The build-your-own option doesn’t stop with mac n’ cheese, though. You can also build your own grilled cheese sandwich (that comes with mac and cheese, surprise, surprise) with different options for bread, cheese, protein, and vegetables. Or, if you’d rather get a signature grilled cheese, you can choose from options like a B.L.T., a Cuban, or lobster grilled cheese— all with an ooey, gooey layer of mac.
