What Your Favorite Childhood Star Turned Pop Princess Says About You

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Baylor chapter.

Disney and Nickelodeon were two huge channels in all of our childhoods, and they gave a platform for rising stars. As we grew up, we all got to watch many young stars break out of their childhood persona to become a pop princess. Whoever was your favorite will tell me everything I need to know about you:

Selena Gomez

You’re kind, caring, and loyal. You have a good head on your shoulders and just want to spread kindness. You have such a great sense of humor and are so down-to-earth. You are the definition of a ride or die friend. No matter where you go, you stay true to your morals and keep the people who mean the most closest to you. Keep cracking those one of a kind jokes and all the love in your heart!

Demi Lovato

You’re funny, resilient and powerful. You probably went through a lot in life or had a hard childhood, but it only made you stronger. You’re starting to find yourself and love the feeling of being liberated. With all of the hardships you’ve been through, you’ll soon be unstoppable!

Miley Cyrus

You’re fun, free and open-minded. You don’t want to be tied down in any situation because you’re still young and trying to see where you best fit. People love being around you because you bring a carefree energy that’s hard to replicate. You can listen to any genre of music and find the beauty of it, but you feel the need to hide a certain part of you for some reason. Never be ashamed of your roots!

Ariana Grande

You’re cute, sweet and underestimated. People don’t see you for who you are at first. They see someone cute and innocent who can’t do much except stand there and look pretty, so you really had to prove yourself to be taken seriously. You’re actually very strong and go through a lot on a daily basis. Keep your head up and stay grateful!

Olivia Rodrigo

You’re smart, hardworking and youthful. You probably know how to play an instrument, helping you have an appreciation for “oldies” or “classics” in music. You’re also probably a hardcore Swiftie. While you have been super successful from a young age, you still have a lot of “firsts” to experience in life. You’re just building up for your big break, and I can’t wait to see how far you’ll go!

It’s been fun to watch these women make the difficult transition from childhood television stardom to A-list celebrity status. They each helped create our favorite shows growing up and have a fan base that has looked up to each of them from a young age. No matter who is your favorite, they all are amazingly strong women and have gone through their fair share of hardships.
