Think of an artist you adore and would probably steal their closet if you could. Thought of one? Okay, well mine is Jennie Kim. The K-Pop, dubbed Chanel Princess and basically the #1 trendsetter in South Korea, has a style we would all probably try to achieve once in our lifetime. Every time she makes a post or a BLACKPINK comeback is near, you know everyone will check out what she’s wearing… and let me tell you, everything Jennie touches turns into gold. Not only has she inspired many artists in her own industry, but she has also made people search all over the internet for dupes! I, for example, am guilty as charged, which is why I wanted to break down some of my personal favorite looks that I’ve seen people follow:

1. Cardigan Tops

This look is so simple yet the top really makes it stand out. Can you believe I found a dupe online? If you see me around with it, know that this is my attempt to look as good as her.

2. Braided Bangs

An effortless way to spice up a hairstyle! If you don’t know what to do to your hair, just braid two front pieces. This is clearly Jennie’s go-to.

3. Waist Chains

Jennie pays attention to every detail of her outfits, and the addition of a waist chain really takes it to the next level!

4. Bandana Tops

Back in 2019, Jennie went to a Chanel launch party to perform. Her top? A Chanel scarf! Now 2 years later, bandana tops are everywhere. She was way ahead.

5. Full Set

The moment you decide to wear a full set, you’re making a statement. Jennie rocks this one with the confidence she needs to go on stage.
Jennie is one of our modern-age style icons. These outfits are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to her style. So if you need inspiration make sure to check her out!

In the meanwhile, I’ll be here, hoping that someday I’ll own one of her outfits.

A sour patch kid raised in the small town of Villalba, Puerto Rico (she'll argue that she's from Ponce though). She's a total geek who takes everything one fandom at a time. Her major is Creative Writing.
