Dear America,

Stop combining two good products in a pathetic effort to make one big super product.  That’s right, I’m talking about jeggings.  For those of you who can’t tell by the cheesy name (nobody sprained any muscles thinking that one up), jeggings are leggings that are designed to look like jeans.  Or jeans that are designed to fit like leggings.  It is all relative.  What is not relative is the fact that they are ugly and I hate them.  (Yes, I realize that was not the most well crafted sentence, but I needed to get my point across).

Jeggings are just allowing people to think it is ok to go out wearing leggings as pants.  People, I love leggings as much as the next girl but when you wear leggings as pants, with a normal length top, I can see your hoo ha. All of those pesky little ripples around the thigh area that you desperately try to work off at the gym.  Put on a tunic, that is all I am asking of you.

To wrap up this rant I’m going to leave you all with some food for thought.  Prepare yourselves, this is deep.  Ready?  Here it goes: If you want to wear a product that covers the lower half of your body that looks like jeans, buy yourself some jeans.

And PLEASE throw away your jeggings!

Love,

Haylie Gabs
